“I'm really excited … It's going to be a fun night to share with an amazing orchestra and 250 voice choir. I can't even begin to tell you what a privilege it is to perform with Melinda Doolittle and to play at the renowned Carnegie Hall. Melinda is an amazing singer and all-around great gal,” shares Travis Cottrell on his blog, traviscottrellministries.blogspot.com.
It’s been a rewarding year for Cottrell, who spends most of his traveling on the road with Best-selling author, speaker Beth Moore. Cottrell recently received four 2010 GMA Dove Award nominations for Jesus Saves Live and won the award for Best Choral Collection, Jesus Saves Live. In May, his record Jesus Saves Live reached #1 on Christian sales charts, for Praise and Worship album and #2 for Christian album; the project also reached #72 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Cottrell is set to release his debut literary work, Surprised By Worship, through Worthy Media Book Publishers October 8, 2010. The book includes an exclusive introduction from Beth Moore, who writes, "God loves to give the unexpected. He loves to add surprise upon surprise to those who love Him, “supporting Cottrell’s exploration of biblical examples of such surprises in life’s journey.
